In a interview from this spring, Bennett said of the album: “It is a very sensational jazz album, with great jazz artists on it, it came out wonderful. I consider Lady Gaga the Picasso of the entertainment world. She is, you will find out. She is very intelligent and she is very right and she is a very talented person. I just love her so much, we’re just like brother and sister together. We will always admire one another and do things together. We recorded all great standards, quality songs; George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, songs like that. With a big swingin’ band and great, great, jazz artists playing.” With worldwide record sales in the millions, and dozens of platinum and gold albums to his credit, Bennett has received fifteen Grammy Awards including the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Lady Gaga will release her fourth studio album “ARTPOP” on November 11 this year. She released her debut album, “The Fame,” in 2008, winning Grammys for Electronic/Dance Album and Dance Recording (for “Poker Face”), and earning five #1 hits. Her follow-up, “The Fame Monster,” produced the smash singles “Bad Romance” and “Telephone,” and recently received three Grammys, including Female Pop Vocal Performance (for “Bad Romance”), Pop Vocal Album and Short Form Music Video (for “Bad Romance”). “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster” have sold more than 15 million copies combined.
In Europe, nudity is not nearly as conservative as it is in America. PHOTOS: Lady Gaga through the years “I’m really proud of myself that I could take my clothes off and take my makeup off and just be there, because since I was 11 years old I didn’t feel like I could. And you have seen me put on lots of wigs and lots of outfits and lots of theater because I was unable to do that,” she added. “With ‘Artpop’ I took it all off and I challenged myself to be able to transform in a minimal way. I hope that you can see the nuance in the transformation in the nudity between the different looks that I did on the four different covers. “It was emotionally really taxing because I had to look myself in the mirror with no makeup on. I mean, how … easy is that for you. It’s still not easy for me. … I needed to do that for me.
Is Lady Gaga’s new track “one of the most unique electronic songs ever”?
Mon 14th Oct, 2013 by ITM HQ in News 2204 views Zedd and Lady Gaga go way back. As Interscope labelmates, Zedds supported Gaga on stadium-sized shows around the world, been appointed official remixes duties on big singles like Born This Way and, most recently, the pair have been knuckling down together in the studio. According to reports , Zedds produced as many as five tracks on Gagas upcoming album ARTPOP, the first of which you can hear now. At the tail end of last week, Gaga premiered Zedd handiwork Aura by way of a lyric video complete with footage from the forthcoming flick Machete Kills. As youd expect, Zedd had only good things to say about the track. Obviously, I would love for it to be a single, but theres so many great songs on the album, Zedd told MTV. I think Aura [is] one of the most interesting and unique electronic songs ever, honestlytheres so many guitars and its like an oriental vibe. And theres a hard electronic drop and kind of a minimal drop in the end. I dont how to describe it, its kind of cool. Make up your own mind below. Like it or loathe it, the Gaga production credits sure to win the German dynamo a few new fans. The great thing is that [Gaga] has a very open minded audience, Zedd told inthemix last year. None of them really knew who I was [on tour], or listened to the kind of music I played, but they were so open minded and liked it so much. So being supported by one of the biggest artists on the planet is great exposure to audiences who dont know about your music, but would dig it. Social
